Datasheets
  • Monocyte/Macrophage Marker Antibody (KUL01) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 Monocyte/Macrophage Marker antibody, cited in 4 publications, provided at 100 µg/ml
  • raised against peripheral blood mononuclear cell leukocytes of chicken origin
  • recommended for detection of monocytes and macrophages as well as interdigitating cells and activated microglia cells of avian origin by FCM; non cross-reactive with B (Bu1 positive) or T (CD3 positive) lymphocytes
  • available conjugated to either phycoerythrin or FITC for IF, IHC(P) and FCM
  • At present, we have not yet completed the identification of the preferred secondary detection reagent(s) for Monocyte/Macrophage Marker Antibody (KUL01). This work is in progress.

Monocyte/Macrophage Marker Antibody (KUL01) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects the Monocyte/Macrophage Marker protein of avian origin by flow cytometry (FCM). Monocyte/Macrophage Marker (KUL01) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including phycoerythrin (PE) and fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), providing flexibility for different experimental needs. Monocyte/Macrophage Marker (KUL01) monoclonal antibody is derived from mouse immunization with a cell suspension containing osteoclasts from osteoclastomas, making this marker suitable for human macrophages. The antigen is specifically present in osteoclasts, which are crucial for bone resorption and remodeling, and Monocyte/Macrophage Marker (KUL01) antibody may be instrumental in identifying osteoclasts in tissues to study developmental pathobiology. Understanding the function of osteoclasts is vital, as these cells play a significant role in maintaining bone health and homeostasis; dysregulation of their activity can lead to various bone diseases, including osteoporosis and osteopetrosis. Macrophages, which arise from hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow, enter circulation, migrate to tissues, and differentiate into various forms, are essential for immune responses, mediating phagocytosis of opsonized microorganisms through Fc and complement receptors, and presenting antigens to T and B lymphocytes. Monocyte/Macrophage Marker (KUL01) monoclonal antibody thus serves as a powerful tool for researchers investigating the complex roles of these immune cells in avian species.
