This product is a cell-permeable N-biphenyl carbamate compound that has been found to act as a non-competitive and selective monoacylglycerol lipase inhibitor. It has not been found to inhibit FAAH, COX-2, or diacylglycerol lipase activity. It has been shown to increase antinociception induced by stress, most likely through increasing 2-arachidonylglycerol levels.
