Mometasone Furoate is a corticosteroid. It is a potent glucocorticoid with high affinity for the glucocorticoid receptor and low affinity for the mineralocorticoid receptor. Mometasone furoate works by inhibiting the production of inflammatory mediators and reducing the migration of inflammatory cells to the site of inflammation. It also suppresses the immune response and decreases the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines.
