QUICK LINKS

MMP-2/MMP-9 Inhibitor I is a N-sulfonylamino acid derivative which inhibits type IV collagenase MMP-9 and MMP-2. Studies indicate that altering the sulfonamide moiety can greatly effects the activity of MMP-2/MMP-9 Inhibitor I. MMP-2 and MMP-9 are metalloproteinases that are produced by a variety of cells such as fibroblasts, chondrocytes, osteoblasts, neutrophils, macrophages, and tumor cells. It is known that the proteins are activated when they are cleaved by extracellular proteinases. The function of these enzymes are in the breakdown of the extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, tissue remodeling, and metastasis.

Is it cell-permeable or cell-impermeable

Asked by: Jz28sail
Thank you for your question. sc-311429, MMP-2/MMP-9 Inhibitor I is not cell permeable. We suggest alternate product: sc-354093, MMP-2/MMP-9 Inhibitor V for a cell-permeable MMP-2/MMP-9 Inhibitor. (https://www.scbt.com/scbt/product/mmp-2-mmp-9-inhibitor-v-869577-53-7?requestFrom=search)
