Mito-TEMPO is a mitochondria-targeted antioxidant that helps protect against oxidative damage to the mitochondria. It has superoxide and alkyl radical scavenging properties. Mito-TEMPO may act to facilitate in the release of proapoptotic proteins from the mitochondria, attenuating ATP-depletion recovery-mediated necrosis and apoptosis. It may act to help block negative effects on the cardiac Na+ channel in cardiomyocytes.

 There is a rumour that some kids with CONDSIAS (ADPRHL2 gen mutation) have used Mito-Tempo and they achived very good results. Is there any research about the effects of Mito-Tempo on this disease  ? Or is there an experiment done on humans before ?

After I treat cells with Mito-TEMPO, how long will it be stable at 37 degrees (in the cell culture incubator)? Also what is the optimal concentration of Mito-TEMPO for B-lymphocytes?

Thank you for your question. sc-221945 has been incubated for 90 min at 37ºC. We could not find an optimal concentration for use in B-lymphocytes. Mito-TEMPO has been used in various cells in concentrations ranging from 1mM to 2µM in published journal articles. We have listed a couple articles below as a reference. 1. Woo, S. M., et al. 2017. How long is the product stable?

Thank you for your question. sc-221945 (Mito-TEMPO, CAS 1569257-94-8) is stable for 1-2 weeks when stored in a solution with DMSO, water, or ethanol at 4°C. Solutions in DMSO remain stable for up to 4 months when stored at -20°C.
