QUICK LINKS

Mini, EDTA-free Protease Inhibitor Cocktail contains a mixture of broad-spectrum protease inhibitors that are highly effective at preventing proteolytic degradation. This product is useful for the inhibition of serine and cysteine, but not metalloproteases in bacterial, mammalian, yeast, and plant cell extracts. It contains both reversible and irreversible protease inhibitors. This product does not contain EDTA, so it will not affect protein stability or subsequent assays or purification methods, [e.g. Immobilized Metal Chelate Affinity Chromatography (IMAC)]. The working concentration is 1 tablet per 10mL extraction solution. One Mini, EDTA-free Protease Inhibitor Cocktail tablet is sufficient for inhibition of proteolytic activity in 10mL extraction solution. If very high proteolytic activity is present, one table should be used per 7mL extraction buffer. The stock solutions are stable when stored at 4° C for 1 to 2 weeks, or at least 12 weeks at -20° C.
