QUICK LINKS

Milbemycin D is a highly selective and potent nematocide. Although a minor member, it belongs to a group of analogues that have a 25-isopropyl substituent. The milbemycins are part of a family of macrocyclic lactones that are characterized by the spiroketal ring system that were produced by Streptomyces hydroscopious subsp. aureolarcrimosus and are believed to stimulate chloride-gated ion channels.
