Mi2 Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgA kappa light chain antibody that detects Mi2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Mi2 antibody (B-4) is available as a non-conjugated form, providing versatility for various experimental needs. Mi2 protein plays a crucial role in chromatin remodeling, essential for gene expression regulation. Mi2 (B-4) monoclonal antibody is part of the mSin3 corepressor complex, involved in histone deacetylation, leading to transcriptional repression. This complex includes several key components such as mSin3, histone deacetylases HDAC1 and HDAC2, and autoantigens Mi2-α and Mi2-β. Mi2 protein′s interaction with these components highlights its importance in maintaining chromatin structure and function, as alterations in chromatin can significantly impact cellular processes, including differentiation and response to environmental signals. Mi2 (B-4) antibody enables researchers to gain insights into transcriptional regulation mechanisms and chromatin dynamics in various biological contexts.

Can Mi2 (B-4): sc-55606 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. Yes, Mi2 (B-4): sc-55606 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
