Methylprednisolone hemisuccinate, an agonist of the glucocorticoid receptor. It exhibits a high affinity for binding to the glucocorticoid receptor which triggers its activation. This activation initiates downstream signaling pathways that effectively inhibit inflammation, cell proliferation, and cell death. Methylprednisolone hemisuccinate is used in in vitro studies to analyze the effect of glucocorticoids on various cellular processes, including proliferation, differentiation, and gene expression. Furthermore, It has also been used to study the effects of glucocorticoids on cell death, migration, and cell signaling pathways.
