Methyl 4-Hydroxy-2H-1,2-benzothiazine-3-carboxylate 1,1-Dioxide, also known as Piroxicam impurity G, is a benzothiazine derivative that has been found in Piroxicam formulations. Piroxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory compound that may act to act as a non-selective COX inhibitor. Other benzothiazine dioxide analogues have been shown to act as potent calpain I inhibitors making this compound of interest to researchers.
