Methyl 10-chloro-10-oxodecanoate is a useful biochemical to prepare methyl 10-[2-methoxy-4-(3-trifluoromethyl-3H-diazirin-3-yl)phenyl]-10-oxodecanoate. It can also be used to synthesize fluorescein-derivatives of Necrostatin-32. Additionally it could be used to synthesize methyl 10-oxo-10-(Pyren-3-yl)decanoate.
