MetAP-2 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects methionine aminopeptidase 2 (MetAP-2) in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MetAP-2 plays a crucial role in protein maturation by removing N-terminal methionine residues from nascent peptides, a process essential for proper folding and function of many proteins. Anti-MetAP-2 antibody (B-8) enables research into enzymatic activity particularly important in regulating cell proliferation, as MetAP-2 is involved in controlling various cellular processes that influence tumor growth.
