QUICK LINKS

Merbarone, alternatively referred to as Nsc-336628 or RLBN-1001. This compound triggers the activation of caspase-activated DNase, leading to the removal of chromosomal DNA loops from the nuclear matrix. Moreover, Merbarone effectively induces apoptosis in CEM cells by activating ICE/CED-3-like protease. Notably, Merbarone achieves its inhibitory effect on human topoisomerase IIalpha by hindering its DNA cleavage activity.
