MeOSuc-AAPV-pNA, Chromogenic Substrate is a chromogenic substrate specifically designed for the detection and quantification of protease activity. This compound is used to measure the activity of serine proteases, which play critical roles in various biological processes including digestion, immune response, and blood coagulation. The substrate consists of a peptide sequence that is selectively cleaved by the target protease. Upon cleavage, the substrate releases a p-nitroaniline (pNA) moiety, resulting in a color change that can be quantitatively measured using a spectrophotometer. This colorimetric change allows for the real-time monitoring of enzyme kinetics, providing insights into enzyme activity under different experimental conditions
