MEK Inhibitor II is a selectively potent MEK inhibitor, showing little effect on PKC and PKA. Inhibits Raf1 and ERK1, but only at much higher concentrations. MEK Inhibitor II is cell-permeable. MEK Inhibitor II, also referred to as MEKi-2, is an easily absorbed small molecule that hinders the activity of MEK, an enzyme in the MAPK/ERK pathway. It demonstrates potent inhibition against both MEK1 and MEK2, exhibiting IC50 values of 0.3 nM and 0.4 nM, respectively. Moreover, MEK Inhibitor II has been utilized to examine the effects of MEK inhibition on tumor growth in animal models.
