SEE ALSO...

MEK-3 Antibody (B-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects MEK-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MEK-3 antibody (B-5) is available as the non-conjugated form. MEK-3, also known as MKK-3, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by specifically activating the p38 MAP kinase pathway, which is essential for various cellular responses, including inflammation, stress responses, and apoptosis. MEK-3 activation of p38 MAP kinase is particularly important in mediating cellular response to environmental stressors, such as cytokines and UV radiation, thereby influencing cell survival and differentiation. Understanding MEK-3 function and its role in the p38 MAP kinase pathway is vital for elucidating mechanisms underlying various diseases, including cancer and inflammatory disorders. Anti-MEK-3 antibody (B-5) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the complexities of cellular signaling and its implications in health and disease.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Reviews misleading- pertain to OLD AbThis antibody has been tested in four cell types, two tissues. They sent us two separate lots. We published over 20 papers with the previous version, made in a different host, and used archived lysates to test this antibody No reactivity to MEK-3 in mice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Potent and fairly specific antibodyThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was strong detection of the ~40 kDa target protein in an A431/HepG2/MCF7 cell lysate mix, but the target was not detected in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested. A ~52 kDa medium cross-reactive protein was detectable in the A431/HepG2/MCF7 cell lysate mix.
