MEK-3 Antibody (5F7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects MEK-3 in mouse, rat, human, and canine samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). MEK-3, also known as MKK-3, plays a crucial role in the activation of the p38 MAP kinase pathway, which is essential for cellular responses to stress and inflammation. By phosphorylating specific threonine and tyrosine residues on p38 MAP kinase, MEK-3 facilitates the transmission of signals that regulate various biological processes, including cell differentiation, apoptosis, and the immune response. The importance of MEK-3 in these pathways highlights MEK-3′s potential as a therapeutic target in diseases characterized by dysregulated MAP kinase signaling, such as cancer and inflammatory disorders. Anti-MEK-3 antibody (5F7) provides reliable detection and characterization of this vital protein, enabling researchers to explore MEK-3 functions and interactions in greater detail.

I am using MEK-3 (5F7): sc-81474 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
