QUICK LINKS

Mebendazole is a synthetic benzimidazole derivative. Its mechanism of action involves impeding the formation of microtubules within the cells of the parasites. By targeting the beta-tubulin subunit of microtubules, Mebendazole inhibits their formation, impeding the growth and reproduction of the parasites. Furthermore, Mebendazole exhibits a diverse array of biochemical and physiological effects. It hinders the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and proteins, while also curtailing the uptake of vital nutrients by the parasites.
