Measles NP Antibody (2F3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects the nucleoprotein (NP) of Measles Virus origin by western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Measles NP (2F3) antibody is available in a non-conjugated form, specifically designed for researchers studying the Measles virus (MV), an acute viral illness that poses significant health risks, including severe pneumonia, diarrhea, and encephalitis. The Measles virus, classified as a paramyxovirus of the Morbillivirus genus, is an enveloped, nonsegmented negative-stranded RNA virus that spreads primarily through respiratory droplets, making MV highly contagious. Upon infection, MV targets epithelial cells and can replicate in various tissues, including the urinary tract, conjunctivae, blood vessels, lymphatic system, and central nervous system.
