MDA-7 Antibody (Y14) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects MDA-7 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MDA-7 antibody (Y14) is available as the non-conjugated format. MDA-7, also known as melanoma differentiation associated protein-7 or IL-24, plays a crucial role in regulating cell growth and differentiation, particularly in melanoma cells. MDA-7 is secreted and can act in a paracrine manner, influencing neighboring cells and contributing to the tumor microenvironment. MDA-7 has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cells while sparing normal cells, making MDA-7 a potential therapeutic target for cancer treatment. MDA-7′s ability to modulate immune responses and promote tumor suppression underscores MDA-7′s importance in cancer biology. MDA-7′s unique structure, which includes a conserved IL-10-like domain, is essential for biological activity and interaction with specific receptors, further highlighting MDA-7′s significance in therapeutic applications.
