MATH-2 Antibody (3G7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects MATH-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MATH-2 Antibody (3G7) is available as the non-conjugated anti-MATH-2 antibody (3G7). MATH-2, a helix-loop-helix transcription factor, plays a crucial role in the development and function of the nervous system. Structurally, MATH-2 is homologous to the Drosophila atonal gene product, featuring a basic helix-loop-helix domain essential for gene regulation. MATH-2 is primarily expressed in the developing central nervous system, with significant expression observed in the cortical plate and mantle layer during embryonic development. In adult mice, MATH-2 is predominantly found in the cerebrum, where MATH-2 influences the maintenance of neuronal identity and function. Precise regulation of MATH-2 is vital, as MATH-2 influences the differentiation of neural progenitor cells and the establishment of neuronal circuits, making MATH-2 a key player in neurogenesis and the overall health of the nervous system. Research using anti-MATH-2 antibody (3G7) can provide valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying neural development and potential neurodegenerative conditions.
