Mast Cell Chymase Antibody (CC1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Mast Cell Chymase protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Mast Cell Chymase (CC1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Mast Cell Chymase, also known as CMA1 or MCT1, plays a crucial role in the immune response by generating vasoactive peptides and degrading the extracellular matrix, which is essential for tissue remodeling and inflammation. Mast Cell Chymase is primarily located in mast cells, which are specialized immune cells that release mediators during allergic reactions and inflammatory processes. The presence of Mast Cell Chymase in these cells highlights its importance in regulating local immune responses and maintaining tissue homeostasis. The human chymase gene, located on chromosome 14q11.2, encodes a preproenzyme that includes a 19 amino acid signal peptide, an acidic 2 amino acid propeptide, and a 226 amino acid catalytic domain, emphasizing its complex structure and functional significance. Mast Cell Chymase is classified as a chymotryptic serine proteinase and belongs to the peptidase family S1, which underscores its enzymatic activity in processing various substrates. Additionally, mouse and rat Mast Cell Protease 1 proteins, which are homologs to human tryptases, share 76% sequence identity at the amino acid level, making them valuable for studying mast cell biology and their roles in health and disease.
