QUICK LINKS

Manganese(II) Chloride, Anhydrous, also known as MnCl2, manganese chloride or manganous chloride, is a white crystalline solid that readily dissolves in water. It exhibits dual roles as both an enzyme activator and inhibitor in diverse biochemical pathways. Notably, it interacts with manganese superoxide dismutase, an enzyme involved in neutralizing superoxide radicals within cells. Furthermore, Manganese(II) Chloride, Anhydrous can interact with other enzymes, including glutathione peroxidase, which participates in the antioxidant defense system and lipid metabolism.
