QUICK LINKS

Malathion is an organophosphorous compound that inhibits cholinesterase enzyme activity. Malathion contains an interesting phosphinothioyl-thio ester as its active moiety where modification of acetylcholinesterase occurs. The action of Malathion on acetylcholinesterase has been correlated to prolonged modulation of the functioning of the cutaneous vasculature.
