Malachite green chloride, a triphenylmethane dye, is widely utilized in various industries, particularly aquaculture. As a reference standard, it aids in the detection of analytes and helps to ensure the color quality and safety of food products. Malachite green chloride is used across the paper, textile, and acrylic industries, and serves multiple roles, such as a color additive and a disinfectant. This organic chloride salt, known as the monochloride salt of the malachite green cation, is also recognized for its green hue and is used in histological applications for staining. Moreover, it acts as a fluorochrome and has applications in dyeing silk and wool.
