MAGE-D4/MAGE-D4B Antibody (H-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects MAGE-D4/MAGE-D4B in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MAGE-D4 and MAGE-D4B are 741 amino acid proteins encoded by the human genes MAGED4 and MAGED4B, respectively, and are part of the MAGE family, which is known for directing the expression of tumor antigens recognized by autologous cytolytic T lymphocytes in human melanomas. Notably, MAGE-D4 and MAGE-D4B are glioma-specific members of the MAGE family, with both isoforms uniquely expressed in glioma cells among cancer types, while normal tissue expression is limited to the brain and ovary. The presence of these proteins in malignant tumors, particularly gliomas, underscores their potential role in tumor immunology, although expression levels are not considered prognostic indicators. Anti-MAGE-D4/MAGE-D4B antibody (H-9) serves as an essential tool for researchers investigating the immunological landscape of gliomas and the broader implications of MAGE family proteins in cancer biology.
