LY 344864 hydrochloride is a potent and selective 5-HT1F receptor agonist with an EC50 of 3 nM. This compound has been shown to display > 80-fold selectivity over other 5-HT receptors (Ki values are 0.006, 0.53, 0.55, 0.56, 1.42, 1.70, 3.50, 3.94 and 4.85 µM for 5-HT1F, 5-HT1A, 5-HT1B, 5-HT1D, 5-HT1E, 5-HT2B, 5-HT2C, 5-HT2A and 5-HT7 receptors respectively). Furthermore LY 344864 hydrochloride has been shown to inhibit neurogenic dural inflammation in vivo.
