QUICK LINKS

LTB3 (Leukotriene B3) is a proinflammatory agent that causes aggregation of murine polymorphonuclear leukocytes. Leukotrienes are generated by 5-lipoxygenase from phospholipase-released arachidonic acid and are potent eicosanoid lipid mediators. Furthermore, leukotrienes are involved in various homeostatic biological functions and act through specific subfamilies of G protein-coupled receptors.
