    SEE ALSO...

LRP Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects LRP in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LRP, also known as the major vault protein (MVP), plays a crucial role in the multidrug resistance (MDR) phenotype observed in tumor cells, which often leads to treatment failure in cancer therapy. LRP is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is a key component of multimeric ribonucleoprotein complexes that transport untranslated RNA along cytoskeletal tracks, facilitating cellular processes essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and drug transport. LRP expression in various multidrug-resistant cancer cell lines and clinical samples highlights its significance in mediating drug resistance, potentially through transport mechanisms. Additionally, LRP has two alternative splice variants, with the long-LRP isoform being ubiquitously expressed across many normal tissues, indicating a fundamental role in cellular function. The unique structural features of LRP, including a TATA-less promoter and specific binding sites, further underscore its importance in gene regulation and expression, making anti-LRP antibody (F-7) an invaluable tool for researchers studying drug resistance and related pathways in cancer biology.

How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using LRP (F-7): sc-390141?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane.
