Loxapine N-oxide, also known as 8-Hydroxyloxapine, is a metabolite of the antipsychotic medication loxapine. It is formed in the liver through the oxidation of loxapine. While loxapine is the active component responsible for the therapeutic effects, loxapine N-oxide is considered to have minimal pharmacological activity.
