Lomerizine Hydrochloride is a calcium channel protein inhibitor. Lomerizine hydrochloride is a compound known for its ability to inhibit voltage-activated inward calcium currents. At a concentration of 1 μM, it has been observed to effectively reduce neurotoxicity induced by glutamate, NMDA, or kainate in rat retinal primary cell cultures. Furthermore, it exhibits selectivity as a cerebral vasodilator.
