Linseed (flaxseed) oil is a vegetable oil obtained from flaxseeds. Linseed (flaxseed) oil is intended for use as a control or check sample for fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) analyses. Provides an excellent means of standardizing lipid procedures and comparing results to other samples. Linseed (flaxseed) oil is used in paint and varnish formulations due to its drying properties, in which it gradually hardens to form a protective film. In addition, it has been used in the preparation of polymer composites and as a raw material for the production of biofuels
