Licofelone is an anti-inflammatory and dual inhibitor of cyclooxygenase and 5-lipoxygenase. Licofelone inhibits both Cox-1 and Cox-2. In parietal rabbit cells, Licofelone causes little to no gastric mucosa damage. In aqueous buffers, Licofelone is sparingly soluble.
