Laminin β-1/γ-1 Antibody (612C10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Laminin β-1/γ-1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-Laminin β-1/γ-1 antibody (612C10) is available as a non-conjugated format. Laminins, including Laminin β-1 and γ-1 chains, play a crucial role in forming and maintaining basement membranes, which are specialized extracellular matrices providing structural support to tissues. These basement membranes are essential for tissue integrity and influence cellular processes like proliferation, migration, and differentiation. The unique structure of laminins, consisting of heterotrimeric assemblies of α, β, and γ chains, allows interaction with various cell surface receptors, including integrins and dystroglycan, facilitating cell adhesion and signaling. Proper functioning of laminins is vital for tissue development and repair, as well as maintaining organ architecture. Human Laminin β-1 gene is located on chromosome 7q22, while Laminin γ-1 gene is found on chromosome 1q31, with both genes being widely expressed in tissues that produce basement membranes.
