SEE ALSO...

L-type Ca++ CP β2 Antibody (F-29) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects L-type Ca++ CP beta 2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-L-type Ca++ CP beta 2 antibody (F-29) is available as a non-conjugated format. L-type Ca++ CP beta 2 protein plays a crucial role in calcium channel function, essential for various physiological processes, including muscle contraction, hormone secretion, and neurotransmitter release. Calcium channels are composed of multiple subunits, including an alpha-1 subunit forming the channel pore, an intracellular beta subunit modulating channel activity, and auxiliary subunits influencing channel properties and localization. Proper functioning of L-type calcium channels maintains cellular excitability and signaling by facilitating calcium ion influx in response to membrane depolarization. L-type calcium channels interact with specific proteins, such as G protein-coupled receptors, enhancing signaling pathway specificity and contributing to macromolecular signaling complex formation. The gamma-2 subunit, also known as stargazin, regulates synaptic targeting of AMPA receptors in the brain, influencing synaptic transmission and plasticity. This protein interaction network highlights L-type Ca++ CP beta 2′s significance in normal cellular function and potential pathophysiological conditions.
