L-Cysteinylglycine is a sulfur-containing amino acid found in many proteins and peptides that is involved in various metabolic processes. It is synthesized from cysteine and glycine and is a precursor to other amino acids such as taurine and methionine. It is also involved in the synthesis of glutathione, an important antioxidant in the body. In addition, L-Cysteinylglycine is involved in the regulation of gene expression and the activation of transcription factors.
