KLK13 Antibody (01376) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects KLK13 of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-KLK13 antibody (01376) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. Kallikrein 13 (KLK13) is a member of the kallikrein gene family, which consists of 15 serine proteases primarily involved in various physiological processes, including blood pressure regulation, inflammation, and tissue remodeling. KLK13 is predominantly expressed in the prostate and has been implicated in the pathogenesis of several cancers, including prostate and breast cancer. Notably, KLK13 plays a role in post-translational protein modification, crucial for functional activity and stability. This modification can influence protein interactions with other molecules, affecting signaling pathways and cellular responses. KLK13 expression is regulated by steroid hormones, and dysregulation has been associated with tumor progression, making KLK13 a potential biomarker for cancer diagnostics and therapeutic target. The KLK gene family is located on chromosome 19q13, and unique expression patterns of its members, including KLK13, highlight their importance in both normal physiology and disease states.
