    SEE ALSO...

KIAA1958 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects KIAA1958 protein of human origin, E130308A19Rik protein of mouse origin, and the corresponding rat homolog by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-KIAA1958 antibody (G-12) is available as a non-conjugated format. KIAA1958 protein, consisting of 716 amino acids, is an uncharacterized protein that exists in three alternatively spliced isoforms. KIAA1958 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 9q32 and mouse chromosome 4 B3, with chromosome 9 housing over 900 genes and comprising nearly 4% of the human genome. KIAA1958′s significance lies in its potential role in various cellular processes, although specific functions remain to be fully elucidated. Notably, chromosome 9 is associated with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, characterized by harmful vascular defects, and familial dysautonomia, highlighting the importance of understanding the proteins encoded by this chromosome. Additionally, chromosome 9 encompasses the largest interferon family gene cluster, suggesting KIAA1958 may play a role in immune responses or cellular signaling pathways.
