Ki67 Antibody (MIB-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Ki67 of human origin by immunofluorescence (IF) and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Anti-Ki67 antibody (MIB-1) is available as the non-conjugated form. Ki67 is a crucial nuclear protein expressed exclusively in actively dividing cells, making Ki67 an essential marker for assessing cell proliferation in various solid tumors and hematological malignancies. Ki67 expression levels correlate with the histopathological grade of neoplasms, providing valuable insights into tumor aggressiveness and potential treatment outcomes. Is this Antibody cross react with mouse antigen? I am going to do Paraffin embedded tissue IHC.

Thank you for your question. We do not currently recommend this antibody, Ki-67 (MIB-1): sc-101861, for detection of mouse Ki-67 because we have not yet tested the antibody for cross-reactivity with this species.

Will this antibody react with bovine tissue

Thank you for your question. It is unknown whether or not this antibody can react with bovine samples. Ki-67 Antibody (MIB-1): sc-101861 is raised against nuclear fractions of hodgkin's lymphoma cell line, L248 of human origin. The exact epitope recognized by this clone is unknown. Therefore, we can not predict cross-reactivity with bovine samples based on sequence homology. And we have not tested the antibody in bovine, nor are we aware of any publications in bovine. Unfortunately, we do not offer any Ki-67 antibodies at this time which are recommended for use in bovine.
