Keratan sulfate Antibody (4B3/D10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Keratan sulfate protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Anti-Keratan sulfate antibody (4B3/D10) is available as a non-conjugated format. Keratan sulfate is a crucial component of proteoglycans, which are essential for maintaining structural integrity and function of various tissues, including brain, cartilage, and cornea. These proteoglycans are characterized by elongated glycosaminoglycan chains, which play a significant role in cell signaling and regulation of cellular activities. Keratan sulfate in the extracellular matrix influences cell adhesion, migration, and proliferation, contributing to tissue repair and regeneration processes. Keratan sulfate proteoglycans are secreted into synovial fluid and serum during tissue repair in response to joint or inflammatory diseases, making these proteins potential biomarkers for early detection of degenerative cartilage and joint breakdown. Keratan sulfate interactions with various proteins in the extracellular matrix underscore its importance in modulating cellular responses and maintaining tissue homeostasis.
