QUICK LINKS

Kdo2-Lipid A is a potent agonist of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), which plays a role in the innate immune response. It activates TLR4 signaling by binding to the MD-2 co-receptor, leading to the recruitment of adaptor proteins and the subsequent activation of downstream signaling pathways, including NF-κB and MAPK. This activation results in the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, contributing to the initiation and regulation of the immune response. Kdo2-Lipid A may induce the maturation and activation of antigen-presenting cells, such as dendritic cells, further enhancing the immune response.
