Isoguanosine is a naturally occurring active isomer of guanosine (sc-218575), which functions as a synthetic intermediate in many biological reactions. Studies indicate that Isoguanosine increases the concentration of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) in brain tissue. In addition, Isoguanosine inhibits IMP pyrophosphorylase.
