Iron(II) sulfate solution is a concentrated solution used to prepare a 1 liter standard solution. The concentrated Iron(II) sulfate solution is packaged under inert gas and comes in a glass bottle. The 1 liter standard Iron(II) sulfate solution is best used within 14 days of preparation. The salt is composed of Fe²⁺ ions and SO4²⁻ ions. In solution, these ions dissociate, allowing the ferrous ions to participate in various chemical reactions.
