IRAK-2 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects IRAK-2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IRAK-2 (D-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IRAK-2 plays a crucial role in the immune response, particularly in signaling pathways activated by Toll-like receptors (TLRs), which are essential for recognizing pathogens and initiating inflammation. Located primarily in the cytoplasm, IRAK-2 is recruited to the receptor complex upon TLR activation, where IRAK-2 interacts with MyD88 through its death domain, facilitating downstream signaling that leads to the activation of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) and other pro-inflammatory cytokines. Understanding IRAK-2 function and location is vital, as dysregulation can contribute to various inflammatory diseases and conditions, making IRAK-2 a significant target for therapeutic intervention.
