IQ-1 is a cell-permeable tetrahydroisoquinolinylidene compound that modulates Wnt/beta-catenin signaling. Targets the PR72/130 subunit of PP2A. Thereby blocking PP2A/Nkd complex formation, resulting in diminished beta-catenin/p300 interaction and a concomitant increase in beta-catenin/CBP usage. Co-administration of IQ-1 (4 mug/ml) and Wnt3a (100 ng/ml), but neither reagent alone, may act to be sufficient in maintaining long-term murine Embryonic Stem Cells pluripotency in the absence of serum.
