QUICK LINKS

Iprobenfos is a chemical compound that functions as a systemic fungicide. Its mechanism of action involves inhibiting the biosynthesis of methionine in fungi. By targeting the enzyme S-adenosyl-L-methionine synthetase, Iprobenfos disrupts the production of methionine, leading to the inhibition of fungal growth and reproduction. At the molecular level, Iprobenfos interferes with the normal functioning of fungal cells, disrupting their ability to synthesize proteins and ultimately leading to their demise.
