IPO-38 Antibody (IPO-38) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects IPO-38 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). IPO-38 (IPO-38) antibody is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including phycoerythrin (PE) and fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC). IPO-38 protein, also known as non-lineage 116 (N-L116), is primarily located in nuclei of proliferating cells, which is crucial for its role as a proliferation marker. Nuclear presence indicates active cell division, making IPO-38 (IPO-38) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for studying cancer biology, particularly in various forms of leukemia, Hodgkin′s disease, non-Hodgkin′s lymphomas, and solid tumors such as breast and colorectal carcinomas. IPO-38 is upregulated in gastric cancer, serving as a promising biomarker for predicting patient prognosis. Sequence analysis of IPO-38 antigen, immunoprecipitated from gastric cancer cell lines, suggests IPO-38 may represent a modified form of Histone H2B antigen, linking IPO-38 to critical cellular processes such as gene regulation and chromatin remodeling. Nuclear IPO-38 detection in human and murine lymphoid and non-lymphoid cell lines, while absent in mononuclear cells and granulocytes from healthy donors, underscores IPO-38 (IPO-38) antibody′s potential utility in monitoring tumor progression and therapeutic response.

How can IPO-38 (IPO-38): sc-52430 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-52430 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-52430 FITC).
