SEE ALSO...

IP-10 Antibody (1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects IP-10 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Anti-IP-10 antibody (1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IP-10, also known as interferon gamma-induced protein 10, plays a crucial role in the immune response by acting as a chemokine that attracts immune cells to sites of inflammation, thereby facilitating the body′s defense mechanisms against pathogens. IP-10′s ability to recruit T cells and other immune cells makes this protein vital for controlling infections and modulating inflammatory responses. IP-10 is involved in various pathological conditions, including autoimmune diseases and cancer, highlighting IP-10′s importance as a potential biomarker for disease progression and therapeutic targets. IP-10′s structure, characterized by a unique arrangement of cysteine residues that define chemokine family classification, is essential for function and interaction with specific receptors on target cells, further underscoring IP-10′s significance in both health and disease.

Does this crossreact with nonhuman primates? We specifically work with rhesus macaques and cynomolgus monkeys.

Asked by: Jang
Thank you for your question. We have not validated the antibody for Monkey. There is a 78% homology and we only recommend a species if the homology is 95% or higher .

I just bought anti-ip-10 sc-101500 and it's arrived yesterday but I found the antibody is dried off (kept it in -20 as indicated in the label). How do I use this antibody now?

Asked by: Mahadi
This antibody should not be frozen as indicated on the shipping package and stored at 4C indicated on the label. Please reach out to our Technical Service team for more assistance.

Is there any reported cross-reactivity with mouse? I'm looking for a CXCL10 antibody for IHC (P) on mouse tissue.

Asked by: meganMIT
Thank you for your question. There is no reported cross-reactivity with mouse using this antibody, IP-10 (1): sc-101500. We do offer an alternative antibody, IP-10 (E-2): sc-374092, which is cross-reactive with mouse. We have not yet tested this antibody for IHC(P), but there is a recent customer review indicating that this antibody worked well for them in IHC(P).

How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using IP-10 (1): sc-101500?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane. A link to our complete Western blotting protocol is provided here for your reference: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
