Integrin αVIb Antibody (6B4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Integrin αVIb of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-Integrin αVIb antibody (6B4) is available in non-conjugated form. Integrins, including Integrin αVIb, are crucial for mediating cell adhesion and play a significant role in various cellular processes. The structure of Integrin αVIb consists of a unique combination of α and β subunits that form a heterodimer, allowing interaction with diverse ligands, such as components of the extracellular matrix and counterreceptors on adjacent cells. This structural versatility enables Integrin αVIb to participate in essential biological functions, including cell signaling, which influences cell growth, differentiation, migration, and apoptosis. The ability of Integrin αVIb to cluster and activate in response to ligand binding is vital for initiating integrin-mediated signaling pathways, making Integrin αVIb a key player in maintaining tissue integrity and facilitating cellular communication.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with Integrin αVIb (6B4): sc-59971 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10ºC methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
