Integrin αL Antibody (I21/7) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Integrin αL in mouse samples through applications such as immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). Integrin αL, also called CD11a, is a crucial component of the immune system, primarily expressed on leukocytes, where Integrin αL plays a vital role in mediating cell adhesion and migration. Integrin αL is essential for the immune response, as Integrin αL facilitates the interaction between leukocytes and endothelial cells during inflammation, allowing immune cells to exit the bloodstream and reach sites of infection or injury. The structure of Integrin αL, which consists of a large extracellular domain, a single transmembrane domain, and a short cytoplasmic tail, enables conformational changes necessary for activation and function. These structural features allow Integrin αL to bind to ligands, such as intercellular adhesion molecules (ICAMs), effectively promoting leukocyte adhesion and migration. The ability of Integrin αL to interact with various ligands is critical for maintaining immune surveillance and responding to pathogens, making Integrin αL a key target for research in immunology and therapeutic interventions. Anti-Integrin αL antibody (I21/7) is an invaluable tool for studying the dynamics of immune cell behavior and the underlying mechanisms of immune responses in mouse models.
